  • Froch: Kessler not happening until 2013 (video)

    http://www.skysports.com/video/inlin...892206,00.html
    http://bcove.me/svnroddd

    Cliffs:

    * almost completely rules out Kessler until next year
    * says he's going to look at IBF rankings for alternative opponent
    * discusses Khan fight, predicts a win for AK

    IBF rankings below:

    Super Middleweight (168 pounds)

    Rank Name

    Champion Carl Froch.

    1 NOT RATED
    2 Adonis Stevenson
    3 Edwin Rodriguez
    4 Thomas Oosthuizen
    5 Lucian Bute
    6 James DeGale
    7 Mikkel Kessler
    8 Kelly Pavlik
    9 Sakio Bika
    10 Glen Johnson
Pavlik, DeGale and Bika are probably the most attractive bouts name-wise but KP is likely to be fighting Kessler or Bute.

Well, he didn't take any damage in his last fight so if he's feeling good I think Bika is a good matchup, he keeps you honest and will make Froch stay on top of his game. the possibility for a war is there so it will be good for fans as well..........he will always have issues with certain styles so I would not consider Rodriguez or Degale if they are trying to hold out to make 2-3 more big fights within the next calender year. not saying he wouldn't win, but i dont know if he looks good in those fights

from a sales point of view degale is obviously a big draw in the UK, should get out of nottingham and up to manchester and bring the event to the people with Brook having a tune up on the undercard and gavin rees getting his title shot on the same night

I would love Pavlik to get his shot at Kessler.
