You can develop it at any time & its most common among adults, our bodies are forever adapting & changing.
I believe say yoghurt for example can trigger it but you could be fine with milk and vice versa (semi-intolerant) whilst others its any dairy product.
Lactaid is apparently very good but its probably a lot cheaper & easier to switch to a whey isolate which contains very little lactose, if any.
