growing up in the late 80s early 90s was the best!!!! this is the time where a lot of new things was happening. i remember every saturday there used to be a van that would drive thru my block to pass out free soda samples LOL. they would cruise by stop, open the door and start tossing out cases of soda's. shootings used to happen every night, there was also a van that sell chicken eggs and live baby chicks LOL. oh im from the ghetto so my experience might be different from others.. man i miss the 80s/90s.

I was born in the early 70's, in order to really understand the 80's you had to be born in the 70's.

You have to be a teenager to really experience that decade.

As someone who lived through the 80's and 90's, the 80's kicked the 90's ass and it's not even close. Music was better, everything was better because it was so new.

90's hip hop was great, and I loved the grunge scene but in the 80's it was like hip hop was being born world wide. Pop had Michael Jackson and tv sitcoms were the best.

Also, the movie scene was classic, especially the comedies.
