what's this obsession with moving up in weight

GGG was weighing 165 2 weeks before the brook fight - he re-hydrates to high 60's

Why the F**k would he want to fight at 175 - Brook moved up 2 weight division for MONEY!!!

GGG's money fight is at 160 against Canelo

Marvin Hagler never moved up in weight - so what's the need to move up in weight for!!!!

I have no issue with GGG moving up to 168 once he fights and beats canelo - but where is the money fight at 168 - Degale is not bad in the UK but there is no one in that division that makes sense moneywise! Even 175 is not great with money - Ward has never been a star moneywise and Kovalev continues to fight in his opponents backyard!

Brook and Golovkin had the same frame and weighed roughly the same.Guys at lightheavy are 4inches taller and 20 pound heavier. It's a far larger task than Brook had. When Starling and Curry fought Nunn they gave away more frame size and did better than Brook, without all the excuses and without all the condemnation of Nunn.People here in the UK are acting like Brook done something unprecedented, and like he almost won.

You just dont get it , GGG takes no risks and fights in a very weak division , other fighters and fans want to see him tested against guys that have a real shot at winning , he has fought NOBODY when a WW is the best fighter on a his MW resume .

Brook moved up two divisions because he was draining himself two divisions below where he should have been fighting. That's why when he "moved up" to 160 he weighed more than the guy who was already there.

GGG is fighting in his natural division, so if he moved up two divisions he would be outweighed by 20-25 pounds on fight night against his opponents, rather than outweighing his opponent like Brook did.

So it's complete apples and oranges. That said, I would love to see GGG vs Ramirez or Degale before he gets old. Unfortunately Ramirez promoter said they want it but not next... same as always with GGG, no one wants him next, they all want to wait until he gets old because they know he is so good they have no chance in his prime. Degale doesn't even bring up GGG's name he doesn't want any either until GGG gets old. Same as everyone. That's how good he is.

This is the criticism that comes when you make guys do things like this and it's truth behind it, ggg we get waiting on Canelo sweepstakes but fans and other boxers and trainers going start calling him out on it, the world knows he is best MW now it's time to start testing himself against bigger guys

Yep GGG should take a risk but not move up 2 weight classes. He needs to move up just one then maybe the other. Those who want him to skip a weight class just want him to lose. Canelo is getting a lot of heat for supposedly ducking GGG even tho I know that fight will happen for sure but lets not forget that GGG ducked Ward. Nobody can say Ward ducked GGG since ward not being a big of a 168 pounder is fighting Kovalev at 175. Anyone who moves up to fight Kovalev ducked no one.

Haters just want ggg to lose.
Brook jumped up 2 classes becsuse he needed to fight someone breathing. He was not known in the US and it was a smart PR move. ggg needs to clean out the middle weight divison, unify, then Maybe move up. But to be fair he isnt getting any younger and some fighters only move up late in their careers because they cant make the weight, not because they want a challenge; again another PR move, spinning a move as such.

                  Gennady Golovkin: 5'10.5

                  Adonis Stevenson: 5'11

                  Andre Ward: 6'0

                  Sergey Kovalev: 6'0

                  Artur Beterbiev: 5'11

Those guys are considerably bigger than Golovkin but your narrative of them being 4 inches taller is downright false.
