You don't have a basketball league for people under 6 foot, you don't have a soccer league for guys who can't run fast, but in boxing you have lower weight division for people who can't compete with the big boys.

I don't know if you follow the NBA.. But there is no way in hell Prime John Stockton can guard Andrew Bynum 1v1. Bynum will literally destroy Stockton 1v1 and take his soul.

'Football or soccer' is also a team sport.

1v1 . there's a lot of players who are much more athletic and can dominate the likes of Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs. Theo Walcott is probably 4 times as athletic as Paul Scholes.. but Scholes is by far the greater player.


Boxing is 1v1. The divisions are what make it interesting..
