the point is if its for his title, than the limit should be 147.... if he decides to weigh in at 145, thats his business....... but for them to cap off the limit and make him defend his title is just bull****...

I understand where you are comnig from, however imo catch weights and even weigh ins day before mean **** these days. The boxers rehydrate over night so really who will have an advantage weight wise fight night, Cotto or Pacquiao?

If it is just bul****, why did Cotto sign the contract??? I mean, no one forced him, so it must be because it is good for him. If he can't weigh in at 145, just don't sign the conract and fight someone else.

He can sign to fight at 45' but if he can't weigh the WW limit of 47' the title shouldn't be on the line.

Whats so hard to understand about this?

Then screw the 145 limit, weight in at 147 if you want Cotto and if they don't like it screw them to hell, cocksuckers.

The 7lbs range is optional meaning you voluntarily come in at any point between 140 and 147 not 145.If you try to lower the upper limit to 145 then you will have to lose some consideration.

The only reason people are arguing is because of the equity theory and incentivisation. There is a difference between an option and an obligation.

Cotto signed to fight at 145,he didnt sign to defend his 147 title at 145.Once the title comes in,the dynamics are drastically changed.
