  • Will Amir Be Able To Make 147 After Alvarez Fight?

or is it a permanent move up to 154/160

With how inactive fighters are today, and modern diuretics, he should have no problem with 147. 140 is pushing it though IMO.

Sure he could. Mosley went back and forth between 147 and 154 many times with no problems what so ever. If Mosley could do it then Khan can probably do it. Khan seems to have matured into a big welterweight and 154 might actually be his best weight. Khan said 154 would be his best weight. Best weight or not Canelo is out of his class and will KO him early and easily in my opinion.

Well, he claims to be strongest at said weight. Realistically he's probably a natural 154 fighter but in this age of cutting large amounts of weight for size and strength advantages he is no doubt young enough to be able to make 147. He sounds he has to to really work on making 147 but it doesn't seem like he's struggling yet. Khan is actually bigger than we give him credit for and although he doesn't get fat between fights, he does fill in a bit and when standing next to middle weight or super middles in between fights he always seems about that size. No, he isn't a super middle but he's no midgit either. He'll be much more solid than Josesito Lopez who's a small, thin guy

And I don't think he'll be like Mosley, Bolios lol. Mosley was always in shape but he's at the size where he could have made 140 for a long time before 147. We forget Shane went straight from 135 to 147. Shane had a great work ethic and body for 147 but he was always fairly small at 154. Lucky for him he could crack at any weight and has an atg chin.

This will be it, he is cashing out.
He doesn't really want to fight, Bhop fights more often despite being twice his age.
Canelo is going to end his career, Khan's career has went nowhere since the Garcia KO, he hasn't faced any power since.
