  • If Manny Pacquiao was an American where would he rank now in American lists with all

Well know people who did not even make it at the Olympics and never faced international competition and had 100% staged careers like their professional career was a Hollywood movie enjoy mad respect and stuff in the American lists!

So let's say Manny is an American man from a minority background(Asian American,Mexican,African American, which automatically means NONE IN THE MEDIA OR FAN BASE would dare to make so racist jokes against him or his race, cause there would be riots ala L.A. 1992 or OJ Simpson case,Oprah calling Obama (LOL) etc) where does he rank in All time great lists right now?2 probably?Maybe to some even 1?

IMO I think the way he carries himself professionally in and out of the ring is what boxing truly needs today. If he were an American, he would definitely be more of a likeable person and many Americans would greatly overrated him, maybe even rank him higher than some of the all time greats like Armstrong or Ali. Americans are always looking for a new hero, and had Manny been an American, he would be considered the best American athlete today, better than Lebron or Kobe. Because Pacquaio broke records that has never been done before.

If Pac was American, UFC would be dead. His PPV's would sell huge.

If Pac was white, you'd have every whiteboi on the block nuthuggin him, training at their local gym.

If Pac was American, he'd be one of the special advisers to the President.

If Pac was black, he'd be Obama's best golf buddy.

If Pac was American, he'd be in at least 15+ movies by now.

If Pac was an American Congressman, he'd be getting **** done up there in Congress.

if he was an american...there would be fewer people here that would hate on him...most of them would appreciate him more regardless....americans are proud and "some" of them just cant accept the fact that a non american is on top of the boxing world right now...and he is a very marketable and likable guy...

If he was just another black or latino-american fighter people outside boxing wouldnt really give a **** about him IMO.

People in America are interested in him BECAUSE he's asian and is something of a novelty.

It's like the Asian guy that recently joined Journey. Back from the mid 90s until like 2005 they had a white guy that sounded just like Steve Perry sing for them and they were nobodies playing small venues and state fairs. Then they hired the Asian guy off youtube that sounds like Steve Perry, so they get on Oprah and 60 minutes, and now theyre playing stadiums again.

I think the reason why they got so popular again was the idea that he was found on Youtube not because he was Asian. The lead singer being Asian just added a bit more drama to the story.

Look at Charice, the teen Filipino singer with a huge voice. It's not because she's Asian why she's popular it's because she was discovered on Youtube. Justin Bieber *UGH* is another example of being discovered through Youtube.

Of course, but i think the OP gave a rhetorical question. A question where we know what the answer is.
