Although Mayweather has been very vocal in the past about being unimpressed by Pacquiao's skills, surprisingly, he's extremely confident in the Filipino superstar's chances in this fight. "Clottey going to get the hell beat out of him. He's too flat footed and they know that," he stated. "Clottey is too defensive-minded to beat someone throwing all of those punches."
While some believe that Clottey's peak-a-boo defensive style will allow him to deflect most of Pacquiao's shots, Mayweather Sr. sees it quite differently. "When he covers up, Pacquiao is going to tee off on his ass. He's just not aggressive enough and he's always second," he explained.
Although Mayweather Sr. did give Pacquiao some credit in picking him to win, he obviously hasn't changed his opinion about how a mega-fight between Pacquiao and his son would play out. "Pacquiao wasn't ready to lose yet. He knows what is going to happen to him when he faces Lil Floyd. There ain't no way that man can beat Lil Floyd; not if he's clean," he added.
