Local heavyweight Skipp Scott (16-1, 10 KOs), survived two knockdowns to win a close and controversial 10-round unanimous decision over Kerston Manswell (23-7, 17 KOs) and claim the lightly-regarded WBF International belt at the Bayou City Events Center. i want to see this fight. anyone on BS attend? manswell has lost to every name opponent he has faced but he was brought over as a step up for scott & it sounds like there is some questions about the scorecards. 2 knockdowns & a 3rd one not counted usually is good enough to win a 10 round decision unless you are on the road in a fighter's hometown. lou savarese isn't stupid & whatever the case is he knows scott is not going to make it past journeyman level if he can't beat manswell without question. he will keep him in houston fighting other JM & make as much $$$$ as he can off him. he will fight guys like brian minto or vinny maddalone at best. i still have to see the fight to really comment about the result.
