Leading New Zealand heavyweight boxer Joseph Parker will fight in Invercargill on Saturday August 1, three weeks later than originally planned.
Parker has a 13-0 winning record and is ranked eighth in the world by the the WBO and 10th by the WBA.
Representatives of Parker's promoters, Duco Promotions, are in Invercargill planning the the fight , which is being heralded as Southland's biggest sporting event for 2015.
Parker was originally pencilled in to fight down south on July 11, however, that has since changed to allow him more time to prepare after his June 13 fight in Palmerston North, after which his opponent for Invercargill will be announced.
