Of course it matters. It's the key point.

It wasn't pathetic by any stretch, we were fine in games against the top teams, we just lacked the consistency to beat teams in the bottom half (and sh*te in the CL). I'm ready to move on to next season.

Oh and we didn't regress after spending money. We spent, improved massively, then regressed after selling players and not replacing them properly.

I wouldn't begrudge Spurs fans celebrating finishing 4th because it's a completely different situation, which I've already explained.

Finishing 4th is progress for them, it is, by definition, an achievement.

For Arsenal, it is a continuation of a decline in achievement and expectation and I find it weird that as a club you celebrate it like you're breaking new ground, which was the point made in the post that prompted you to make a new account and respond to it.

You could actually perceive my post as a compliment towards your club if you'd wanted, but in your 'need to argue, unable to take the slightest hint of criticism on board' mind, you see it and get defensive as f*ck. I invited you to look at my previous posts to see if anything Arsenal related was there; maybe you looked and couldn't find anything so you just said you couldn't be arsed, I dunno.

Whatever, I'll leave you to it. I know for a fact that I just wasted my time typing this out because you won't discuss anything rationally so it's pointless. I'm done.

Why is it considered progress for Sp*rs when they consistently spend more money than Arsenal? Sp*rs finished 4th a few years ago and last season so how is it progress? They kept the Welsh chimp whilst we sold our two best players from last season. Why are Sp*rs the loveable, plucky underdogs? They had a 7 point lead in February!

Your whole argument is absolutely farcical and undermined based on the sole fact you support Man City. Your club were successful in the late 60s/early 70s but then by the late 90s, you were celebrating scraping through the Division 2 play-offs!

Football is cyclical, thicko! Every club has down periods. The only difference is that Wenger has been able to keep Arsenal in the Champions League during one of our worst periods in recent history. Whereas City were dropping down divisions and wouldn't even be in the Premier League if not a random Sheik!
