Yob: Girl on CCTV to blame for getting punched unconscious

A THUG caught on CCTV knocking a 16-year-old girl unconscious in a random attack admitted the assault yesterday — but said: “She started it.”

Michael Ayoade, 34, punched the student from behind, leaving her with broken teeth, a bleeding lip and a bruised face.

He was caught thanks to a tip-off after film of the November 13 attack in Plaistow, East London, shocked the nation.

Ayoade pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but claimed he felt “intimidated by her”.

He told cops she looked at him as if to say, “What are you looking at?”, Thames magistrates heard.

The yob, of Plaistow, was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing.
