In retrospect can we say Floyd had a granite chin or that he just refused to lose?

Yeah and Mayweather fought southpaw for the rest of the fight and still won.

Floyd didn't have a good chin he had a great chin. You can't stay undefeated against the caliber opponents that he faced without one.

He's got a good chin but pillows and past it Mosley helped, just like 152 Canelo etc.

One big right from Shane had his legs gone and him needing to hold to stay on his feet. Margarito took dozens of Shane's punches just like that one before he went down. That's what an iron chin looks like.

His chin weren't granite, when he goit hit he had real urgency to hold. Some fighters take combinations too chin and smile at you.

He never fought one lunch game changer ko artist as well.
No Julian Jackson, Nigel benn, gerakld mcellan type

                LOL at that Maidana shot.

But he gets a lot of credit for the Mosley right hand. Sugar was well past his best but he still maintained his power and for Floyd to retain his presence of mind ,after getting hit clean and to hold on till he recovered was great stuff.

He took some solid left hands from Pac in the first 4 rounds of their fight too and still retained that concentration.

I dunno if he had a granite chin because he never really faced any serious punchers and didn't get hit clean much but he did have exceptional powers of concentration. I'm trying to think of fighters who always retained a presence of self in the ring like Mayweather and can only really come up with Hopkins and Chavez.

No he doesn't. I don't give Floyd credit for anything ever.

He clearly has a really good chin and really good recovering abilities.
