    and?

so what if he gets destroyed?

he's done with boxing soon supposedly.

    who cares if he losses?

but if he wins....... sweet..... history right there.

    besides....

lose selling 2m ppv > win meaningless fight for 500k ppv

    pac need that retirement cheddar.

Lefthook is right this is a massive fight If Manny and Bob want it, it makes a lot of sense plus Pac fighting Terence wont get him anywhere near as much cred as he would for taking on Canelo at his weight.
Agreed it would be a massive fight! Just taking the fight would show a lot.
Hope to see a good last fight!

Marquez and Chavez would cover the fight for Mexican TV!

Would be a fatty away from an awesome night!

that margarito was faster than this canelo.

canelo being a counterpuncher is to pac advantage. he can popshot and pick his spots.

marg was all offensive and pressure. putting that extra size to work.

you see canelo use his size vs floyd? he walk thru floyd? nope. because he tried to box a superior, faster opponent.
Those who were good counter punchers all had success, and weren't 25+lbs bigger.

Margarito was not faster than Canelo. The difference in hand speed is clear.

Mayweather is a defensive master and fellow counter puncher, he was able to confuse Canelo with defence. Pac is FAR from a defensive master, he gets hit a lot and isn't doing anything to confuse Canelo.

          Canelo utterly steamrolls Pac.

Just make a deal with Oscar that Canelo has to fight several Top Rank fighters in co-promotions afterwards.

            2 million ppv buys minimum.

            Sell it as:

            Mexico vs. Pac

            Old Legend vs. Young Future

Pac goes for title in 9th division

            Speed vs. Power
Pacquiao is too slow now and old, he is a shopworn battle machine. Fighters like him don't age well, add to that the fact he is only 5'6'' and even making 147lb is a big step for him.

Now if it was pacman from say 2010 or 2011 or even 2012 and the fight was at 150, Pac would cut cement feet Canelo to ribbons.

Even now I'd give Pac a great shot at beating Canelo at 150 but noway in hell Canelo makes that weight now.

The only way you can hit pac cleanly is if you're fast enough, very skilled natural counter puncher and most importantly willing to throw a punch while he is punching himself. Which means you gotta eat a lot of accurate powerful punches before there's a chance you can land one solid blow against him. There is only a small window before you can get your one solid punch again before pac is out of range once again or be turning you around like a confused troll.

But then again alvarez is a walking giant with a certified granite chin so he would just try to absorb pac's punches with a degree of comfortability like a margarito maybe, it's true he would have a lot of chances to counter punch pac, even though he would be flailing, jabbing in the air, finding everything he throw is just 1-inch short but for most of the rounds, hell, even mayweather discovered the motherfucckking midget is very hard to hit when he wants not to be hit, by now everyone had watched the replay already and realized floyd can't touch the goddammnn midget it's frustrating really, but alvarez does have a chance to get just one solid punch and KO and it could be that's all he needs to win the fight, he got 12 rounds hey. Thus, the danger is always there for pac to get either stopped or get KOed.

If somehow pac made it to 10th round without a scratch, you could take it to the bank that canelo is properly schooled after the fight. No freakking way he can outscore or school manny pacquiao.

pac gets hit a lot because his fights are more action. more exchanges, longee exchanges = you get hit more

now pac is no floyd defensively.

but he can move even these days. ppl forget floyd had a hard time hitting pac too.

that's the reason Floyd fought him.
