    Co sign this.

    Also,
    before they lose = overhyped/overrated
    after a loss = exposed

Mosey was very past it when he fought Floyd, but in the Pacman fight he was as prime as he was in 2001.

So going by that Khan is past his prime.

And so was Lennox when he lost to McCall.

Countless examples that shows your theory does not hold water.

            hahaha this.....

Of course there are exceptions (i.e Hopkins), but this rule normally applies.

Prime is both physical and mental imo. Once your physical prime goes, you can't really get it back. It's about maintaining a balance between these two, make sure that both are maturing at or near the same pace. Fighters like Floyd and B-Hop are not necessarily in their physical prime anymore, but they are not SO far from it, where they still can't take advantage of their in-ring intellect. A lot of young fighters take advantage of their physical gifts and ignore their mental development, those are the fighters that don't last.

Oh you're right. I forgot to add the word 'consistently'.

That would make a lot more sense, RJJ is the prime example (no pun intended)

Doesnt seem quite right when applied to naseem hamed. Lost only once. Whether it was ever really winnable for him is debatable. It was certainly not consistent but was forced into retirement because his punching power was too great for his mortal hands to contain. He still otherwise had all the attributes to make him prime. Just that he was a massive right hand away that could knock out an opponent but also leave his hand a grotesquely deformed mess at any given point in time.
