Marg was a top 3 154lber based off a win over Garcia and two years of inactivity prior? That's a bit of a stretch dude.

...You're the guy with numerous comments on how Pacquiao is possibly roiled up. And insinuating Floyd must know something nobody else knows rather than the obvious. Simply counter pointing.

No, based off going toe to toe with some success against the very best fighter in the world. List the other 154 pound fighters that would have a chance to do that.

        1: Saul Alvarez
        2: Alfredo Angulo
        3: Go ahead, your turn.

Floyd's win and by DAYS. Oscar was much bigger, came in the best condition he could at that point in his career, and still had something left. Pac beat a spent fighter who came to collect a check after getting destroyed, found to be a cheat, off a long layoff, and off a lackluster win against a nobody. Margarito fought for his retirement.

Oh, and to say that Margarito AT ANY POINT beats Oscar is laughable. Oscar would Mayorga his ass, only worse.

Yeah, thats why Oscar chose to fight a midget over Margarito. Oscar thought he would stomp all over the midget, except the midget gave him the worst beating of his life. Serves Oscar right for ducking Margarito.

Simple risk vs reward. Nobody gives a **** about Margarito. More money to be had in other fights. Floyd didnt fight him either, but he would have shut him out and made him look like a beginner. Margarito without the Cotto win is nothing. Oh, let me rephrase that. Mararito without plaster in the Cotto fight AND Cotto fighting the wrong fight is nothing. Once Cotto whoops him in the rematch everyone will see that. Margarito is nothing, and he never was.

lol the irony...dela hoya had the same 2-year layoff after the biggest loss of his career losing to bhop by ko. and then came back to fight mayorga before facing floyd. margarito had the same, layoff then fought garcia before pac.

                  and btw, oscar ducked margarito

Not sure what part to start with here. Let's begin with Oscar being much bigger than Floyd. As if, um, Margarito wasn't a giant compared to Pacquiao? It was literally, in ring, a small Junior Middleweight vs a large Super Middleweight.

Margarito came to collect a paycheck? Er... Is that why he didn't quit on his stool with a broken face? Dumb statement that invalidates anything else you say.

Oscar couldn't JAB for 12 rounds against a defensive counter puncher. You really think his tank lasts against either Pacquiao or Margarito? Both beat the bricks off that Oscar in bet the house certainty.

And to say nobody cared about THE WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD Antonio Margarito so that's why Oscar didn't fight him is lol. If not him then who? Oh yeah, a 1 fight Lightweight. Whoops, Oscar!

I'd say Pac over Marg mainly on the fact of the size difference. Not by a wide margin either, its just that Floyd didn't really impress in his biggest fight of his career. But the Oscar that fought Floyd > Marg that fought Pac.
