THAT Ali was indisputably the greatest heavyweight who ever lived. (The Ali Mark II wasn't bad either (!) but at that moment Ali was on another planet to any boxer before or since in his weight class.
People need to remember that beating a B grade makes you look great and when your great anyway you will look invincible , there are 2 guys in a fight if one has it clearly over the other its going to be an impressive beat down but the fact is some guys are just a bag on the night for a whole range of reasons ranging from a bad camp , weight issues , a common cold or even just a flat night , so much of boxing is about being in your zone on the night , most of the great fighters get real close to peak each they time they step out , when a 10th of second in timing can be the difference between landing and missing its all very dynamic and often taken for granted .

Not really always true.
Take Wlad vs Chambers/Mormeck, Lewis vs Mavrovic, Tyson vs Bonecrusher/Pinklon Thomas and plenty more heavyweight examples.
Williams was a good fighter, but not great and had also had a lot of trouble in his life. Nevertheless, Ali did look absolutely unbeatable that fight.
Cleveland began in 1952 he fought Ali in 1966 not exactly the same era!!!!
He knew how to box and had good height and reach.
he lost to Satterfield and Liston and theres no shame in that, he was a fringe contender for many years.
Ali was in his 24th or 25th fight when Williams got his shot so it wasn't a straight up contest Cleveland had plenty of miles on him.
mr.fantastic.....Don't know what you mean by running...........Ali took it right to him obviously you never watched the fight!
