The phrase "I could care less" is incorrect for the context in which it is used. If you could care less, you obviously care at least a small amount, otherwise it couldn't be less. The phrase you are looking for is "I couldn't care less".

Of course I've noticed, but it's not them I'm speaking to. There are a number of intelligent, reasonable posters who are using it, but it devalues what is otherwise a well thought out argument. I can't take anyone seriously when they make such an obvious mistake, no matter who it is.
