Why did Floyd Mayweather not fight some of the best fighters in his divisions?

i've heard people say spadafora gave floyd problems in sparring.

don't know how true it is but people do mention him as someone floyd didn't fight at 135.

They based that on a youtube of Paul sparring with a guy that even a DONKEY can see is not Mayweather.

i think the plan for tszyu was beat ricky then go on to floyd but obviously ricky changed those plans.

So you can't blame that fight not happening on Floyd either.

but i do remember i think ring or boxing mentioning how well he did against floyd in a spadafora article. i threw away all my old magazines so i can't tell you which month. but it was boxing or ring i think in 2001.

It is a fact that Mayweather sparred with Spadafora. Spadafora was supposedly in much better fighting shape at that time and got the better of that session. Whether that means anything about how a matchup between the two of them would have gone is another matter completely. I think Floyd would have beat him without too much trouble.
