Both Froch AND Pascal were looked at more like untested prospects on the verge of becoming contenders at the time, so there wasn't as much context or hooplah about it.

Both fighters have proved that they are legit at this point, and that win looks better and better for Froch every day as far as I'm concerned.

I don't accept the premise of this thread.

Beating Pascal as a name, the fighter, isn't so much of a feat. It's what he had (which was the Legitimate World Light-Heavyweight Title), and what Hopkins was (a 46 year old trying to become the oldest World Champion) what made the win more impressive than Froch beating Pascal.

Who was Pascal at 168? Was he a champion or just a up and coming, wet behind his ears, punk. It's all about perception, AND PERCEPTION IS REALITY.

Manny is accepted in America and has become a STAR in America because of not only his success in the ring but also for him being a very humble and nice guy, THAT WORKS FOR HIM! And by the way it is also a lot of Filipinos in America especially on the West Coast (California), also what about Adamek, he has build up a nice following in America, very popular and draws very well in New Jersey, also Arthur Abraham had strong support at the Ward fight

the problem is that a lot of you guys want the American Media to PRAISE YOUR FAVORITE FIGHTER LIKE THEY DO AMERICAN FIGHTERS...that unfortunately THAT IS JUST NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! EVERY COUNTRY IS BIASED TO THEIR OWN...EVERY BROADCAST is Bias To Their Own!


AND OF COURSE the America Media is not going to give a damn about Pascal vs Froch...because neither are Americans...WHY SHOULD THEY? As a Boxing fan I do...but if neither fighters was a HBO or Showtime fighters at the time so naturally the coverage and the credit for that fight will not be the same
