  • Why haven't we seen another Mike Tyson?

    The decline of boxing?

Heavyweights to scared to mix it up?

    I want answers!

The style takes years to do. You'd have to get started with your boxing career doing that style. Also as for them just trying to KO ppl? Yeah, scared to mix it up.

Sam Peter could have become something special if he would have got the good trainer, early in his career. His brute strength is something i didn't see in the heavyweight division since Tyson.

The only problem is that hes 80 pounds lighter.

          Edwin Valero.

I think David Tua was Mike Tyson like, It's a shame that they never got to fight.

                The HW division is dead...
Valero and Gamboa have the chance to become huge names in the sport IMO.. Based on the fact that they are exciting to watch, which draws in new fans
Nobody will ever get the worldwide coverage Mike got, though.

Because a Halley's Comet only comes around ever so often; something like every 75 years.

The closest I hear that was like Tyson (although I don't think as technically trained as a prime Tyson) was Sam McVey who was similar in height, weight, strength, power, and maybe speed {?}. As far as raw ability. But, Tyson's popularity was something else.

Although Ike Ibeabuchi didn't have Tyson's style i think he could have been a very big star at heavyweight.
