It's ridiculous when people claim Lewis was in his 'prime' for the Vitali fight. IMO, he was past his prime for the Tyson fight.

Lewis actually lost money taking the Klitschko fight. He was going to fight Klitschko after the Johnson fight which is why Klitschko was on the undercard. Taking the fight on 12 days notice meant there was no time to promote the fight and it wasn't as big as it could have been. That shows Lewis took Vitali lightly and had little time to prepare.
