MikeyG baby. 2014 is gonna be a big year for him. Sadly, he wont get a fight with Nonito which would solidify him as a top 10 p4p fighter and will make him a real star once he KHTFO!

Mikey is a complete fighter building a strong resume with a style that's easy on the eyes. Here' s to him making noise next year.

I'd assume gamboa would take any big fight he can get, and 50 cent is pretty much relying on top rank for his boxing biz to survive, should be easy to make.

It's starting to look like Golden Boy moving to Showtime has made no real difference to HBO at all. They've put on a lot of 'fun' fights this year and whether it's related or not, their ratings also seem to be consistently very strong.
I hope it continues. It's far better for the sport if good match-ups becomes the aim of networks as opposed to big names. Sure, there'll always be an element of both, but selling fights on the basis of a big name is never going to be as good for the fans as fights being sold because they'll be great fu*king fights. Stops networks, promoters, and the fighters themselves being so obsessed with staying unbeaten when that's the main focus.

Mikey just needs to keep knocking off whoever is put in front of him and he'll reach super stardom. Even a blind man can see Mikey is a P4P talent. It doesn't matter who's in front of him right now, only Mikey can beat Mikey. And he strikes me as all business when it comes to boxing....sky's the limit for the kid.
