Horrible. Raising the HW rwquirement to 200lbs and adding cruiserweight is what sapped the HW divisions talent. All the athletic HW of old are fighting at cruiserweight today. And why even bother? The cruiserweight is struggling enough to get attention on its own

People asking for a SHW division probably don't know that the current HW division IS the super HW division. In the amateurs they call 200lbs plus SHW, in the pros 200lbs plus is the SHW division too, but they just call it the HW division.

Also, you people wanting a 240lbs plus division must be mad. It would only have about 8 fighters in the whole world and would only hurt the already struggling image of the HW division. People like the heavies because they're the big guys people know will beat up all the others. Adding a super division will only take the spotlight off them on the super heavies and fragment both weight classes.

Instead of having a weight class between cruiser and heavy why not just make a Super Heavy weight division?



175lbs- LHW

200lbs: Cruiser

201-239:Heavy Weight

240lbs and up : Super Heavy Weight




Boxing changes just like every sport and the athletes are changing. Everyone thats about 240 pounds or more should all be fighting guys that weigh 240 or more.

Also I think with a SHW division regular Heavyweights should have to cut just like every other weight class where Super Heavy Weight there would be no limit.

nope a 240+ super heavyweight division would suck. People only think its needed at the moment because the klits are so dominant, take them out of the equation and the big guys are no better than they ever were. david haye at 215 pounds would likely be the unified heavyweight champion of the world if not for the brothers, that doesn't say we need a super heavyweight division lol.

Truth is the klits are just damn good and a super heavyweight division is a terrible idea, the heavyweights need as many guys in their division as possible not the opposite ie a superheavyweight division with about 20 guys 17/18 or perhaps all of which can be beaten by guys from the division below.

A better solution would be to look at all the weight classes again. People are bigger now.

It makes sense. I mean Cruiserweight is from 176 to 200lbs. They can make a new weight class at like 182-185. Call it Heavyweight and rename the HW division Super Heavyweight.

Th lower weight classes suck balls. There' like 4-5 people tops, who actually follow the lower weight classes.
