Being considered an ATG at Cruiserweight - especially during that time - is essentially the equivalent of being one of the smartest kids in remedial class. Usually I'd say that all a guy can do is beat the best available competition, but Gomez never even did that. Without even bothering to look up the ratings of that time, I'd gather that he fought about two guys that were actually actually rated during that time.
Valuev is one of the worst heavyweight title holders of all time. He didn't even win it legitimately, he got a gift decision against Donald which got him the title shot and another gift decision against Ruiz to win it.
Hey Jab, did Vitali rape your father in a Ukrainian prison or something?
Evander Holyfield
Sergey Liakhovic
John Ruiz
Jean Bergeron
Larry Donald
Jameel McCline
Vitali:
Corrie Sanders
Sam Peter
Adamek
Kirk Johnson
Chris Arreola
Larry Donald
Is this a joke thread?
If you had actually seen the fights you listed, you would know that Valuev's "wins" over Donald, Ruiz and Holyfield were all gift decisions, and the McCline "KO" was a fluke injury stoppage.
Vitali's resume isn't world beating by any measure but comparing it to Valuev's is laughable.
