I'm making reference to the government, and specifically the powers that be. Now I'm not trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I just believe that people's blind patriotism is often used against them by people in power who have agendas.

Now before I rattle people, there is nothing wrong with being patriotic (if that's your choice). I just wish people wouldn't go overboard as there will always be someone that will use that to fit there agenda. That's pretty much my point.

I love living in a society where one's right to freedom of expression is legally protected from being encroached upon.

I'm just not a blindly patriotic ****** who gets offended when a ****ty excuse for an artist attempts to make an artistic statement by desecrating an empty symbol during a video shoot.

I have the utmost respect for those who have bled and died so that we all could enjoy the freedoms that we do in Western society today. Infact, I have so much respect for them that said respect does not limit itself to my own country's borders.
