  • August 7 is the 70 year anniversary of Hiroshima

70 years ago, at 8:16 AM August 6 1945, the U.S. dropped the world's first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan.

After the experience of the most costly battle in the Pacific War (Battle of Okinawa) in April to June 1945, the American leaders realized, it would have cost tens of thousands of American lives to invade the Japanese home islands.

Although many today will not agree, using the atomic bomb and ending the war was the right decision at the time.

Never forget what the Klitschkos said about it, Freedom: Japan won WWII, because when they nuked Hiroshima, Japan was ahead on points.

No, the Japanese were WAY behind in the fight.

They lost at Okinawa, Iwo Jima, Tarawa, Guadalcanal, Midway and many other battles.

More like 60,000 including 25,000 Japanese soldiers. Another 30,000 or 40,000 died later from the radiation.

There was also a huge weapons and ammunition storehouse in Hiroshima that was wiped out from the blast.
