The same question could be asked about Jack Dempsey! A man who is loved, respected and talked about by boxers/analyst to this day; is very underappreciated from current fans. Jack made the style of, Mike Tyson, Joe Frazier, and most of the head first brawlers we love so much!

No, Floyd ducked everyone who might beat him.

        Vernon Forrest

        Kostya Tszyu

        Joel Casamayor

        Antonio Margarito

        Joshua Clottey

        Paul Williams

Shane Mosley (prime, Floyd waited until he was faded)

Miguel Cotto (prime, waited until he was faded)

Oscar de la Hoya (prime, waited until he was faded)

Manny Pacquiao (might fight him now since he's faded)

        Sergio Martinez

        Canelo Alvarez

LULZ. And what division is that?

Welterweight? Don't be a ******. Ever hear of a guy named Robinson. Armstrong? Leonard? Griffith?

154? Hearns did more at that weight, and would clean Mayweather's clock.

About 10 better fighters than him at lightweight.

140? Ross and Canzoneri. Pryor too.

Mayweather was at his best at 130, but Arguello trumps him there.

regardless of his competition which may not have not been the stiffest in hw history, you cant just discredit him for that reason considering how impressive he was. i think even with stiff competition he would have emerged victorious.
LaStarza came very close to beating him the first time around; many observers thought he got robbed.

Charles and Moore are ATG light-heavyweights, and Walcott is a borderline ATG at best.

I would favor as late as 2009 Hopkins to beat the best version of Marciano.

Louis (who he beat) ?, Ali who lost 5 times more than Marciano did? Dont give me **** about how old Ali was for a lot of those losses, the man didnt know when to quit. Marciano was the smarter fighter he knew when to quit.

You cant prove anything about era's thats going on pure trivial opinion. Whos to say Rocky's comp was weaker? You dont know that.

Rocky hit hard enough to KO any of these giants today.
Its almost unanimous that he fell in at a good time. Not his fault but its held against every fighter that came between great eras. Zags is a prime example. Personally I thought he was a great asset to boxing but its not uncommon to hear words like bum and ducker thrown around when he's concerned. As for Ali's losses you have to be doing the troll bit.

Has anyone taken into account that marciano was 5'11 190lbs? do you really think he could have given up that type of size to the heavyweights today and still win? so basically you are saying that even as a modern day cruiserweight he could have beaten guys he would have given up almost 25 lbs and a couple inches too? Can we apply some logic to this?
