  • Bonte says Vitali will decide on retirement after the March 9 Arreola-Stiverne fight

    http://www.ringpolska.pl/boks-na-swi...-dalej-walczyl

Berndt Boente, manager of WBC world champion heavyweight Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KOs) says Vitali has not yet decided whether he's retiring or not.

"Currently we're not having any negotiations, we're not talking to David Haye, or any other fighter."

"We are awaiting the outcome of the fight between Chris Arreola and Berman Stiverne on March 9."

"Vitali still has not decided whether he will fight any more or will be focused on politics" Boente said.

Looks unlikely that there will be a Haye fight.

Vitali will likely fight Stiverne if he wins, and he will likely retire rather than fight Arreola again.

What a piss poor way for Vitali to go out if true.

To fight his mandatory at age 42? What's wrong with that?

Haye should have got himself into an eliminator against Arreola or Fury, and earned his title shot.

Is Stiverne any good? Arreola looks to be a heavy (heh) betting favorite?

Let down of a final fight, all things considered.

Regardless of who wins that fight, it will be a bum.

Why can't he make his mind up?

So what if Stiverne wins? Fighting him does nothing for Vitali's legacy.

Actually whoever wins it will have one of the better HW wins lately among contenders. That's as qualified as it gets, sadly.

I kind of feel like Vitali should go ahead and retire if he isn't going to fight Haye. There's nothing left to prove in fighting the Arreola-Stiverne winner. However, I might be down to watch Arreola (who I do like) get smashed up again by Vitali.

Ones Vitali retires, it will be a madhouse to see who can get to the WBC belt first, once it's handed off to whomever. Fury, Haye, Price, Banks, Povetkin, Helenius, all of em will be throwing crazy money at the title holder to get their hands on it before Wladimir gets it and becomes undisputed.

And undisputed champion in 2013. That's crazy.
