Krusher fan here, but if Ward holds, he'll be getting the upper hand, because as good a boxer Ward is, that's all he does.

Kovalev will slam him. He'll complain to the ref once or twice but if nothing is done, he will toss him into a corner for good measure. It'll get as ugly as Ward wants it to be.

I seriously doubt that Ward wants Kovalev "krushing" the back of his skull with rabbit punches because that is exactly what will happen if Ward makes it a clinchfest.

I can't imagine Ward moved up without the intention to fight Kovalev. You can't move into his division and then just pretend he isn't there. He'll fight him.

You can't bring up the age of Ward's opponents when Kov's best win is against.......a goddamn 50 year old.
