thanks, I'll try to keep up with amateur boxing. Have to admit, I was never interested in watching amateur boxing even though I competed myself.

This time I will watch the olympics and follow their professional boxing careers from scratch

n'dam will have to face la cruz in the round of 16 if he gets through, which should be interesting

btw does anyone else feel fowler is super overrated? he's one of the weakest links of this british team imo

I might throw some money on them for ****s & giggles cuz those are sexy odds. Also could be interesting to throw a bunch of money across the board on Kazakstan & Cuban boxers who I think will be among the top gold medal winners (although my amateur outlook could be dated cuz I haven't been following things that close this cycle, but I have been following closer than the last 3 or 4 Olympics).

              Joe Joyce the next AJ?

Well in with a chance of winning gold at SHW imo. Should have at least been a World Championships finalist bht was robbed in semis. Guy who 'beat' him went on to win gold.

Ireland are sending a strong team over as well.

Should be good. First Olympics without headgear for a lifetime.

he's quality but he's already 30 so can't become a phenom like AJ

Fowler was very overrated for a while. Most people are pretty cool on him now though. Tbh im not convinced by many in this GB mens team. Some medal hopes and maybe one slight favourite in Joyce, but could be slim pickings compared to last time out.

Always see a few surprises though so bring it on
