Situation change in almost every 6 months.

Heck! I use to support the FSA until some of thel allied themselves with Islamist (ISIS,Al Nusra front, Hezbollah etc.) factions.

In my opinion the west should accept the situation at the moment that Assad is power and it is better to leave him alone for now. His government at least can be dealt with diplomacy and sanctions later on. The pressing situation is to rid this planet of the plague that is DAESH.

it's refreshing to see things like this making it on an American news program. bit odd if you think about it.
It's all fine and dandy, but if what that guy said was true, our government knew who the driving force was and they funded and aided them. That's where this story begins and ends for me.

that report was like a couple years after the initial syrian uprising before ISIS even existed.

the syrian rebellion was originally arab spring protestors and syrian army defectors.

ISIS came about when al-nusra front broke up. half joining ISI to becoming ISIS. other half with allegiance to AL QAEDA.

ISI itself came when AL QAEDA Iraq joined up with other groups in Iraq.

AL QAEDA IRAQ started of as Zarqawi's Group in Jordan way back in 1999 before pledging allegiance to AL QAEDA mid 2000's.

DAESH roots come from Jordan 90's. They made their name in Iraq as AL QAEDA IRAQ, became ISI then ISIS/ISIL a year or 2 ago.

DAESH has had dozens of names and made of hundreds of groups.

          no.

only an idiot would think US directly funded ISIS.

even if they did it wasn't intentional.

back in 2013, BEFORE ISIS, cia estimated 1,200 separate rebel groups in syria in like 17 major factions.

the original backers were GCC/EU/NATO like saudi arabia, qatar, uae, turkey, france, italy, britain, etc.

we were late to the party.

remember obama wanted no part in syria initially. like libya.

it was pressure from GCC/EU/NATO allies that got us involved in this syrian (and libya before) mess.

Whether directly or not, the fact remains that they were funded by us, al queada too. No matter how you spin it, or try to reason. We were supporting and funding al queada among other factions trying to over throw the Syrian government, period. We do know that Isis also never existed until we illegally invaded Iraq. Bottom line, we funded and helped create them period.

It's no use trying to reason with Tuer, he's been too strongly indocrinated by his corrupt country's propaganda. Nothing his country's disgraceful actions are wrong to him and he'll hate whoever they tell him to hate, like Russia.
