And commentary by the great Harry Carpenter. I love it!

    Watch 5:30.

Ali (Cassius Clay then) deserved all of it. He had no respect for Cooper before the fight, although I'm quite sure that he had some after it... Cooper may have been small but he could punch with that left.

Ali really went to work in the fifth round, that cut was BAD.

    Not boxing but it's amazing.

Cooper vs. Erskine. A significant fight on the britsih scene. That was the main reason why Cooper wasn't loved in britain as most of their good fighters were and are. Cooper beat the adored old Erskine and the public really never forgave him for it. He did become more endeared after flooring Clay though.

The same thing happened to Joe Bugner, a talented but undedicated boxer, when he beat an aging Henry Cooper by a controversial decision.

Cooper and Bugner resolved their old grudge only recently in a TV show.

Right. Difference here being that (I might be wrong here) Bugner never attracted the brits that much. Not even after losing to the ever popular Frank Bruno.

Thanks for the vid Manchine. Great stuff!!
