  • ARTICLE: Difference between Floyd and Pac.. *****s are gonna hate this one

As 2010 is almost over, reflecting back I must say how proud I am of Manny Pacquiao. I am proud of how great a face is he is for Boxing
. I wish I could say the same for Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr.

Boxing needs someone like Pacquiao. Outside the ring he is a gentleman, not just an icon but a role model. Can we honestly say the same about "Money" Mayweather? Pacquiao makes the sport look good and people love him for it. It is my honest opinion, with all the bad press that seems self inflicted from "Money" Mayweather, that right now he is making the sport look bad.

I am telling you honestly I'd be ashamed of Boxing if our number one star wasn't someone like Pacquiao. In public he draws crowds of cheering people, sits there and signs tons of autographs and is always smiling. He is the kind of man you'd want your children to look up too. He is a great reason as to why you might want to let your child take up the sport.

You never hear accusations of Pacquiao hitting a woman, threatening children, or possibly assaulting a security guard who was doing his job. You never read about Pacquiao allegedly being involved in road rage, or possibly connected to a shooting outside a Family skating rink. These are all things that have been "alleged" of "Money" in recent times.

Folks, do we have to sugar coat this? One makes the sport look great... and the other one makes the sport look like a steamy wet pile of ****.

As 2011 hits us soon, I really hope and wish that in the New Year "Money" gets his **** together, and I hope Pacquaio continues to give us reasons to remain proud.

Agree. Manny Pacquiao is a true champion. A devil inside the ring, but an angel outside the ring.

An angel outside the ring doesn't cheat on his wife and take an active interest in blood sports.

It's ok as long as he dont cheat on his wife to sleep with another man. He's still an angel.

That is just what happens. Because, it is a matter of who they like. They like one and don't like the other. A real person sees both of their mistakes (WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES AND POOR CHOICES IN LIFE) and don't make one bigger than the other in that regard.

Floyd brings it on himself. Nobody's perfect, but at the level of fame and popularity someone like Floyd is at, you'd THINK he'd have the common sense to just lay low and not put yourself out there considering the circumstances. Allegations circulating Pacquiao's personal life are what they are, allegations and it obviously hasn't affected his personal or professional life. Floyd voluntarily turned himself into Police for an incident that actually OCCURRED and has a pending court case that could lead him into jail temporarily. But again...nobody's perfect
