Its like that in almost every major election -- people are just too busy working, raising kids, getting laid, etc... to really care. And in most cases, many feel like they do not have the power to make a difference, so what's the use.

I know Western democracy is a joke and the US is a Republic. If there was real democracy you would have internet voting on real key issues not just vote in the next joke puppet.
