You gonna need a couple amateur fights because that walk to the ring can beat you. It can mess with your breathing and prevent you from relaxing.

You also would want to experience getting stunned and learn to handle that.

It takes about 10 amateur fights to learn that you want to get a sweat before you get in the ring, watch your breathing, relax, learn your reach, and realize how hard it is to get off that stool. It's actually easier to stand between rounds if you ask me.
Missing punches makes you tired faster, and it's better to learn that in the amateurs than in the middle of your first pro fight. Getting tired will get you KTFO.

if you have no am experience, it wouldn't be wise to go pro out the gate.

Get some amateur fights in but 22 is not too old...

                Trainer in place?
                Gym to train at?
Full time job plus training time?
                Health insurance?
                Support system, family, friends, employer?

If the basic needs are in place you might have a shot but if any of these are missing you have no shot!

Twenty two is very old to start fresh in a sport that must be a life style to be a pro! Most of the pro fighters talked about on this forum started boxing at 12 years old. That pretty much sums it up.
