Carries to the movie, the other actors are mediocre.

Depps performance was very good, and the movie was quite entertaining. Not on the level of say Casino or Goodfellas, but then again no mobster movie is on that level.

Black Mass is probably the best movie I've seen this year. Very consistent throughout, interesting story and characters.

Deep is great, cold, psychotic looking, and just takes control of the role from scene one.
