not shocking it is really common in latin american countries. for example, the mexican state where i was born has about 1 million population but there are more then 2.2 million mexicans in the united states claiming to be from that state.

very true. however, there is a misconception about the mexican diaspora. The mexican diaspora always come from 4-6 mexican states depending the statistic. All of those states have a larger diaspora in the Usa.
