Ray Leonard was big into cocaine in the 80's, and it was rumored that Marvin Hagler was too. Pernell Whitaker got fight he won turned into a No Contest for testing positive for cocaine.

I knew about Leonard and Sweet Pea, but Hagler? No way! I've read about him being the ultimate gym rat during training camp and only drank a few beers here and there when not training. Can you post a source?

Going by my (poor) memory, his wife made drug-use allegations
right after the loss to Leonard, and I mean right after the loss.
There was a load of SMH in the broadcast community about her
timing. IIRC Bertha Hagler 'semi'-retracted her accusations in
very late 1987.

So... a lot of allegations leading to presumption (in this thread)
of guilt. I'm not surprised Hagler symapthizes with Pacquiao wrt
to unfounded/accusations of drug abuse.

I read about it in the book Sorcery at Ceasars, which is about the Halger-Leonard fight. It said in there Hagler was suspect for parking his flashy sports car in front of a known drug house, running in for a few minutes and then returning to his car and driving away. I'll see if I can find a link online for it.
