Rios is more of a brawler than a boxer but he is a successful pro boxer. He has been the lightweight champion of the world. He may be a horrible boxer compared with Mayweather or even Bradley. He still has 100 times the boxing skills of Rousey. She can't even throw her punches correctly. She is a judo expert and her effective weapons are her arm bar and chokes and other judo stuff. Rios has good infighting skills and good power in both hands and all the different punches. He throws correct punches and combinations. Rousey has very little punching power or boxing skills. She would be a total failure as a boxer unless she improves by a huge amount.

Maidana sets up his shots behind the jab, works different angles, and has underrated defense. He also employs use of feints. Floyd himself has said why Maidana is so successful is he doles out more punishment than he receives, referring to his defense.
