Why do people think Cortez helped Floyd against Hatton?

Uhhh... there's a huge distinction between holding and inside fighting.. Hatton was HOLDING, Hatton was getting destroyed inside too. Both were holding and clinching actually so separation was needed since they weren't going to let go. Watch a few of Rios' recent fight - that's INSIDE fighting, Hatton just came in and held or clinched up. What else do you want the ref to do when both of their arms are locked in? I think you're in the wrong sport if you want to watch some sort of WWE entertainment.
Some of the British fans/Die hard Hatton fans are truly delusional, primarily due to the travesty of Hatton/Tsyzu - what an atrocious fight by the ref.Last edited by Phil Ivey; 12-13-2011, 09:13 PM.

Where they are wrong of course is believing hatton would have had a chance with any other ref. It wouldn't matter if the ref was steve smoger, kenny bayless or hulk holgan, he could never beat floyd.
Hatton even admitted it after the fight.
Joe cortez did Ricky a favor..Last edited by AlwaysOnTop; 12-13-2011, 09:54 PM.

Who really says this? Only a few haters and the pinoy say this crap, the latter haven't even watched the fight because it doesn't involve Manny. They just hear someone else say something negative and then parrot it excessively without even investigating things themselves.

because Cortez doesnt allow infighting and didnt warn Mayweather for using his elbows, which he did repeatedly in the fight.
It wouldnt have made a difference in the outcome, but it would have made a difference in how the fight played out.
