Anyone suggest anything besides the normal double ended bag drills or mitt work? Im looking for some drills that are not normally used in the average boxing gym to improve upper body reflex... Thanks!

I was going to say the tennis ball... alternating hands. That's excellent for hand eye...which reflex is a component of. On the mental angle, lots of visualization in your offtime. If you can easily visualize something you can do it more efficiently and expediently. If you are well versed in visualization of the fruition of your technique..it helps shortcut the brain and gel muscle memory. The result is faster reflexes.....
Also.... sometimes you can shoot from a half extended semi static jab...turn that into a lead hook for example. This will give the illusion of superior reflex but is equally about positioning and timing.

Tennis balls works really well like the other guys mentioned.
I also really like the double end bag, i think it's an under used piece of equipment in most gyms.

Wing Chun Sticky Hands drill, but adapted for boxers. There are a lot of variations but basically it helps you gain a sense of the other persons movements by feel alone. Good for infighting especially. The goal is to stop the person from striking while never removing your hands, wrists, forearms or elbows from theres. So you are constantly touching and have to react quickly to their movements. Could be fun from a clinch as well.
