there is no denying that they were a bad team his first couple years. You couldn't give away mav tickets here in town, your saying that people forget how good toni was but you need to realize that dirk has been an mvp in the league and always first or second team all NBA brother you cant argue the facts. Dirks defense sucks but hes a unique offensive player that is a match up nightmare for any team. The nuggets beat him up a couple years ago in the playoffs but he lit them up for 30 pts a game in the series.
ok. Dirk has more accolades of course. Toni was not even named in the All Star. His biggest individual award in the NBA was sixth man of the year. But if you look at their games, you will see that Toni was more well-rounded player than Dirk.
So many dumb cocksucker neophytes on this site that not only don't know **** about boxing, but don't know **** about basketball either.
Kukoc played as a 6th man on arguably the greatest team of AT. Nowitzki is a starter.
Lets put this **** in context ffs.
Kukoc was more fluid, could shoot just as good, could create off the dribble, had post game, was a great passer, and just an all around badass while playing 23 minutes a game.
Nowitzki is a dude that takes 2 dribbles and takes pull up jumpers and has J from downtown.
Its not even a contest.
Just cuz' Nowitzki has a larger role (due to the Mavs lacking Jordan and PIppen) doesn't mean he's better.
If he played on the bulls, he'd be backing up Luc Longley and Bill Wennington.

And Toni was also a nightmare of a matchup for opposing teams because he can post up smaller defenders and has quickness to go past big guys.
