Guys his size? He is a smallish middleweight. Only put on 10lb after the weighin... we see guys at 135 put on more than 10lb... Ward is coming into the ring 190lb+ a full 20lb heavier than GGG right now.

Oh, by the way Canelo came into the ring 174lb vs Angulo... thats 4lb heavier than GGG. But GGG needs to move up to fight guys his own size... when the fighters in the division below him are weighing more in the ring than him on fight night?

I understand that the Cotto/Canelo winner is the money fight for Golovkin, but as the others have stated, to really pursue greatness, he'll have to go against the likes of Ward, someone with skills and at a higher weight division. He's just too much for anyone at 160.

There are some blatant haters on here but some of us said this was a blatant mismatch like Mayweather-Berto but the GGG fans said the fight will be exciting to justify the PPV tag but it really wasn't to be honest. If you weren't in love with Golovkin then the fight was fairly uneventful and nothing more than a showcase for GGG.

If it was a PBC card we'd get more honesty.

Ward hid at 168 for years why doesn't he step down to take the Champ on? Why doesn't he step up to take the Champs on?
ward has NO appeal nationally or globally. He needs to get active and build his reputation up once again. Thats the way it is for him right now. Why should GGG give him a chance when Ward has done nothing to promote 160 lb class?

Golovkin made $2 million for this fight. He would have made a lot more fighting Ward and Cotto made more than that fighting Geale on HBO.
