  • How come some people completely lose the plot in solitary confinement?

Some people go crazy in solitary confinement after just a few months, yet others like for example Charles Bronson have been in solitary confinement for 30+ years, yet still sound fairly coherrent.

This interview is after 30+ years of solitary confinement yet sounds completely normal & coherrent

I don't know but whenever I hear solitary confinement, I immediately think of this dude.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Silverstein

Thomas Silverstein. Aryan Brotherhood. The longest known held prisoner in solitary confinement according to the Bureau of Prisons. Since 1983. He has been on a strict no human contact order for 32 years, like the **** we see in the movies. I read up on this guy...at one point a while back he was deemed the most dangerous inmate in the entire system. The dude supposedly has never been in a room with another human being in 32 years...**** is nuckings futs, bro.

By the way, for those wondering how that's possible (not being in another room with someone for that long, such as even being escorted by a guard for whatever reason), supposedly the way his cell is set up, if they need to remove him from the cell -- they just hit a button and his cell door opens up. And then they order him to another room where he's locked down in, and then they can go into his cell and do maintenance or whatever.

      Zero human contact.

Solitary confinement is inhumane. Only a real psycho would be unaffected by it.

This kid I went to high school with is in solitary I think.

He tried to burn down a rabbis house. Not even joking, Google Anthony Graziano Lodi New Jersey.

                  Hahaha going crazy is normal.

When you been in there for years and are uneffected you truly are one sick son of a biitch. I mean alot of serial killer s lived on their own and we're pretty much all by themselves which probably drove them crazy in the first place anyway so I guess it makes sense how someone like that wouldnt be as effected.

It's his own damn fault though. He killed like 5 people in prison lmao. Of course they aren't going to keep sending him back to general pop. I think they should send him to the sexual offender side. Let him get raped by all of them and then he can murder all of them. Win-win.

How come some guys like Charlie Bronson remain completely sane after 30+ years of solitary, just listen to that interview sounds like a normal bloke and no signs of mental insanity apart from the apple pies part. This bloke says for the last 27 years he's not had a window, he's not had a bed, he's completely alone for 23hours of the day. Yet completely sane??
