I've studied the case pretty heavily, and I'm convinced at the very least, he was an accomplice. And not just like he ran up on it happening, and said "stop it"! And then just ran away wth his boys who did it. Like he held the guys, or actually stabbed one.

There was definitely enoguh evidence for the prosecution to get at least a voluntary manslaughter charge, most likely second-degree murder.

But he snitched, dropped dimes, etc... And paid his lawyers a **** ton of money, and along with confessing/pleading, and rolling over on others, he got his BS one-year probation.
