  • Why did Glen Johnson get so easily matched up at the start of his career?

Pretty confusing, in his first 30 fights Glen was really easily matched. but glen never had no real amature accomplishments, but yet a promoter has looked after him real well.

but in reality why wasnt glen the opponenet, like dwight muhhamad qawi was. but yet glen was matched with low level jouryman oppostion 90% of his first 30 fights

pretty interesting.......to be honest. any1 know why?

He got a late start for one and was probably working full time and took many of those fights for a quick buck.

promoter probaly didn't want to put him in with propescts since his AM background was all that...promoter usally look at what you did in the AM before they decide what to do with ya

this is my point, why wasnt glen getting put in with prospects? glen never achived virtually nothing as a amature. but yet he got pretty much looked after and fed low level jouryman.

this is the way prospects are ment to get looked after. just very interesting the way glen went 32-0, and 90% of his oppostion was very pour, and when glen turned pro no one had many expectations for him and he never had a big amature pedigree.

Maybe he was a big ticket seller and the promoter wanted to protect that investment. It happens...a lot. Just not usually with guys as talented as he is.

Maybe, but again never heard of Johnson being a big ticket seller and he had to travel alot around the globe, would they let there investment travel, if he was that much of a big ticket seller?
