Appleby to warm up for Euro title tilt

FORMER British featherweight champion Paul Appleby will have two warm-up bouts in preparation for a crack at the European title in November.

The South Queensferry boxer, who lost his British title to Irishman Martin Lindsay in Belfast in April, faces Ukranian champion Oleg Yefimovych for the European crown in a bout which has been delayed from September as Appleby's manager, Tommy Gilmou

Applby needs to ditch steve mcguire senior as his trainer, and hook up with billy nelson or even terry macormick, if he wants to do anything in this sport.

I think the pressure and atmosphere got to him a bit, it was mental inside the ulster hall that night.
Also, more importantly, Lindsay fought a good fight, and rose to the occasion briliantly. I hope he (Lindsay) fights a couple more domestic rivals, like Simpson, and then fights for the euro title. If Appleby wins the euro title fight (i dont hink he will to be honest), a rematch with Lindsay would be great to see. I fancy Lindsay to beat him again.
