  • US "hands over" the barely floating wreck of Iraq

Seven years after the illegal and unjustified US/UK invasion of Iraq, the American army is withdrawing its combat troops, who leave behind a devastated country, with at least one million Iraqis killed and over four million refugees. Today Iraq is more violent even than Afghanistan and a barely floating wreck.

Very interesting article read in full here http://stopwar.org.uk/content/view/1998/27/

not to mention the estimated 1000+ U.S military bases world wide

look at the island of Diego García where the entire indigenous population of the island where removed from there homes in order for the base to be built.

The media in the U.S by and large does not show what is going on and a lot of people have genuine grievances with the United States foreigner policies very hard for anyone to argue that they represent the building of empire

              They're not leaving Iraq.

That war is still raging and they didn't build all those permanent military bases for nothing.

the states are at their all time weakest...they are broke, losing support from other nations,& have mass problems in their country...they are very vulnerable to massive terrorist attacks...they have become paranoid & their methods have become unsound...i hope it turns around or we all as humankind could suffer.
